How to Get a Good Night’s Sleep

If you’re planning a hotel stay in one of our boutique hotel bedrooms – or even if you aren’t – we’ve put together this little guide to help you make the most of your visit to the city, and details on getting a bumper slumber.

Don’t Go to Bed Hungry

Nobody can get a proper rest over the sound of a rumbling tum and we find the best sleep comes after a hearty, wholesome dinner.

You’ll be delighted to see some of your favourites on the menu – big steamy bowls of vegetable soup with crusty bread, rich steak & kidney pie, and jam roly poly pudding with hot custard. Yummy.

Swerve post dinner coffees and plump for a glass of deep, dark Argentinian Malbec also known by our landlord Connal as a ‘put you to bed red.’

After Dinner

Run yourself a preposterously bubbly bath – hot as you can handle – and be sure to luxuriate in it for at least 20 minutes.Idle scrolling and laughing at funny animal videos is counter intuitive to a good night’s kip, so ditch your mobile.Instead, pick up a travel guide and plan a day of exploring London or have a good old fashioned flick through a book to relax.

Do Not Disturb

Finally, let’s talk about pillows. Our opinion is the more the better, and a plump feather pillow is best, but we know the subject can be  divisive. So, stack as many as you please, take that phone off the hook, pull up the snuggly duvet and rest your weary head. Our bedrooms are so quiet and tranquil that you’re guaranteed the sleep you deserve, so slumber away undisturbed.Sweet Dreams.
