Join the (Supper) Club

Since launching in July 2022, these exclusive nights just keep getting bigger and better than ever, and last month we hosted another sold-out Supper Club!

We collaborated for the second time with the masters of meat The Butchers Table in St Johns Hill to host a spectacular Wine & Steak Supper Club in our beautiful Garrett Dining Room. Read on to find out how it all went, and to see how you can jump on board the meat wagon.

Reel-y Impressive

If you’ve seen our Supper Club videos, you know exactly how incredible these evenings are.

Our Head Chef David curates a 4 or 5-course tasting menu, each month centred around a theme and always using high quality, high welfare ingredients. Each course is paired with a premium wine, handpicked by our Wine Master Connal, who talks us through each course and pairing throughout the evening.

Our guests leave not only full and content, but ready to host their own delicious dinner parties and impress their friends at home with their knowledge and skill in wine pairing!

How it Went

The night started with David’s infamous Pitchfork Cheddar Nuggets, this time served with crispy chicken skin and washed down with a glass of Mezza Di Mezzacorona.

Course 1 was Fennel seed crusted pork belly, caramelised apple puree, fennel, pickled Pagets farm beetroot, paired with a glass of Ca’Di Mezzo Gavi.

Whilst everyone loved this first course, the undeniable star of the night was Course 2 – the 28 Day aged prime Dexter, served with rosemary roasted jersey mids, melted baron bigod cheese, maple glazed heritage carrots, leek gratin, truffle & parmesan triple cooked chips. Served family style between pairs, everyone also indulged in garlic & roasted shallot butter, peppercorn & bearnaise sauces as well as a glass of Bodega Norton Finca La Colonia Coleccion Malbec.

And To Finish

Course 3 was a palette cleanser of green apple sorbet and compressed granny smith served alongside a glass of Izzaro Rose Provence Sparkling. To finish this incredible menu, David did a take on the classic Snickers bar, creating his Spread Snickers: peanut parfait, salted caramel, crushed peanuts, grated chocolate – served with Cocktail Master Dany’s signature Amaretto Sours!

As ever with our Supper Clubs, it was a night full of delicious food, incredible wine pairings and the chance to experience a curated menu whilst meeting other foodies.

Hosting these Supper Clubs are a true joy for our team as every event reminds us why we love what we do – bringing our pub community together around the dinner table to be wined & dined in our beautiful Victorian pub!

Now that you’re subtly salivating having seen our November Supper Club, we are so excited to announce the first TWO Supper Clubs of 2023!

On Friday 27th January we will be hosting our first completely vegan event, where Chef David will be proving that vegan food can be just as delicious and indulgent. Then in February we will be transforming our beautiful Garrett Dining Room into an intimate tavern for our Valentine’s Day Supper Club – the perfect date night for every foodie!
