Stay with us for Wimbledon Tennis 2023

Blimey. Has it been a year already since the 2022 Wimbledon Tennis Championships? Time flies when you’re having fun, and there’s certainly been lots of that over the past 12 months.

So, it’s official. The ball boys & girls have been seen limbering up, the players are no-doubt fastidiously pressing their whites, and a glut of strawberries is ready to be harvested. All that’s left to do is sort out your accommodation for two glorious weeks of tennis.

That’s where we step in to lend a helping hand. Read on for our guide to getting the most out of your getaway.

Smash Your Stay

Once you’ve made the short walk from the station, or bid your Uber driver farewell, it’s time to check-in & chill-out

A generously stocked honesty bar, Nespresso coffee machine, and comfy soft furnishings set the tone perfectly for a relaxing tennis focussed mini-break. Once you’ve checked out the view, tested the waterfall showers, and paraded about in your dressing gown for a bit, it’s time to hit the bar.

Time at the Bar

Downstairs a beautiful ‘Gin Palace’ style bar awaits, choc-a-bloc with original Victorian features, and characterful charm.

You descend the staircase and are greeted by cheery faces, ceiling high bevelled edged acid-cut glass, cosy nooks, and a back bar stocked impossibly high with spirits from every corner of the globe.

Pull up a stool at the bar and order yourself a pre-tennis drink.

Choose from one of our signature cocktails, well cared for beers, or something special from our wine list.

Anyone for Tennis?

Whether you’re going to be living it up on Centre Court, or perched on Murray Mound, a fun day of tennis hijinks awaits you at the All England Lawn Club.

It’s easy to get there too; simply hop on a bus, hail a cab, or take a short stroll to Wandsworth Train Station and you’ll be there in less than 20 minutes.

If you don’t have tickets for the tournament, never fear. Just settle in and watch all the tennis action in the pub on one of our TV screens.

There’s No Place Like Bed

It’s impossible to resist a long, leisurely soak in the roll-top bathtub, with plenty of bubbles – and some bubbly too. It’s just the tonic to help you relax after a long day watching the tennis.

And then, to bed. Enjoy a good nights sleep and dream of Kyrgios, plenty of Pimms, and more strawberries & cream than you can shake a racquet at.
